THIRD LAKE (STMW) -- A bank in north suburban Third Lake was robbed Thursday morning by a suspect who appeared to be wearing a motorcycle helmet.

A male suspect jumped onto a teller's counter in an Associated Bank brank about 10:45 a.m. in the 3400 block of North Route 45 and demanded money be placed into a black drawdstring bag, the Lake County Sheriff's office said in a statement.

After the employee turned over an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect led all employees into a bathroom before he left the branch, police said.

No weapon was reportedly displayed during the robbery.

The suspect was described as a white male, between 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-9 with a slim build.

He wore a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue pants, camoflage boots, a black Puma backpack, latex gloves and sunglasses, police said.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call the Lake County Sheriff's office at (847) 377-4250.
