Northwestern Student Hurt In Fall From Frat House

EVANSTON, Ill. (STMW) -- A Northwestern University student was injured falling from the third floor of a fraternity house in north suburban Evanston Tuesday morning.

The 21-year-old man fell about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday from the Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity House at 2331 Sheridan Rd. in Evanston, Northwestern University spokesman Alan Cubbage said.

Paramedics took the man taken to Evanston Hospital, Cubbage said.

The student is from Cincinnati, Ohio, and a junior in the university's Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences, Cubbage said. He is also a member of the fraternity and lives at the frat house where he fell.

Officials couldn't immediately say why he fell, but Northwestern University Campus police continue to investigate what happened.

Evanston Fire officials could not immediately be reached Wednesday evening.
