Man Shot On NW Side

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was shot in a Belmont Cragin alley Saturday morning on the Northwest Side.

The 44-year-old man was leaving a garage in the 2300 block of North Mango Avenue when a gunman got out of a black four-door sedan and opened fire about 7:30 a.m., police said.

Police said the gunman got back in the car and drove off after the shooting.

The man was shot twice in the buttocks and taken in good condition to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, police said.

No one is in custody as Area North detectives investigate.
