CHICAGO (CBS) — A suspect in the beating death of an infant is being held on a $2 million bond.
Patricia McKinney is charged with aggravated battery to a child under the age of 13.
McKinney allegedly beat 9-month old Aiden Dukes Saturday in his home on the 7100 block of South Bennett Avenue.
Dukes was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center with rib and skull fractures, allegedly the result of child abuse according to police.
The child died Tuesday afternoon.
McKinney was the child’s guardian.
