Southbound Lanes Of I-55 Closed For Crash

CHANNAHON, Ill. (CBS) — The outbound lanes of Interstate 55 were shut down Monday morning in the far southwestern suburbs, after a crash involving two trucks and four cars.

Illinois State Police said all southbound lanes of I-55 were blocked near U.S. Route 6 in Channahon, as of 8 a.m.

Two semi-trailer trucks and four cars crashed on southbound I-55, police said.

It was not immediately clear what caused the crash, or how many people were hurt.
