College Student, 19, Missing Since Tuesday

(CBS) – Police are asking for the public's help in finding a missing college student who vanished after telling his parents he was getting a haircut.

Nineteen-year-old Jermal Hawkins is a student at Olive Harvey College and hasn't been seen since Tuesday.

He is 6-foot-2, 245 pounds and lives in the Pullman neighborhood.

Police say on Tuesday Hawkins texted his parents telling them he was headed to 87th and Stony Island to get a haircut. He also texted that he was going to the campus library.
