CHICAGO (CBS) -- House Republicans are pushing for answers about the troubled launch of the new federal health care marketplace. WBBM's Nancy Harty reports a top Illinois Democrat says he supports that.

Durbin Wants Answers On Problems With Rollout Of Health Exchanges

Senator Dick Durbin says there are plenty of questions about the new health insurance website that had many technical problems in the first days it went live.

"We need to know who did it, why they weren't prepared, what it takes to repair this and get it up and running," said Durbin.

House Republicans, who forced a partial government shutdown in an effort to make changes to the Affordable Care Act, are pressuring Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius to testify before a committee investigating the rollout problems.

Durbin says lawmakers should get answers, but any attempt to walk away from the program is "mindless."
