Park Forest police said they were called to a home in the 300 block of Todd STreet at 9:37 p.m. Sunday, after getting a call about a person shot.

Officers found a husband and wife -- 33-year-old Gerard Jimerson, and 32-year-old Tajuanna Davis -- dead in their bedroom, police said. Both had suffered gunshot wounds to the head.

Police said relatives reported hearing a domestic disturbance before the shooting, which appeared to be a murder-suicide, although police have not said which person they believe fired the fatal shots.

Illinois State Police and the South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force were assisting in the investigation.

Autopsies were scheduled for Monday afternoon.
