Man Stabbed After Fight With Girlfriend In Austin

CHICAGO (STMW) — A couple’s fight turned violent early Monday, when a woman allegedly stabbed her boyfriend in the knee in the West Side Austin neighborhood.

The 30-year-old man was stabbed in the knee by his girlfriend, who is also 30 years old, about 1:25 a.m. in the 800 block of North Massasoit Avenue, said Police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer. The pair had apparently been in an altercation.

He was taken in “stable” condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, Greer said.

No one was in custody as Area North detectives were investigating.
