Gammons: Cubs Interviewed Eric Wedge
(CBS) The Cubs interviewed Eric Wedge for their managerial opening, MLB Network's Peter Gammons revealed on The Mully Hanley Show on 670 The Score Friday morning.
Don't expect the former Mariners manager to get the job though.
"I don't think Wedge will end up being the manager," Gammons said. "I still think it will be somebody who doesn't have managerial experience."

Wedge resigned as the Mariners manager Sept. 27 after three losing seasons in Seattle. He suffered a minor stroke in July and missed 28 games.
Gammons also indicated that the Cubs are waiting for the World Series to end to possibly interview Red Sox bench coach Torey Lovullo.
