Woman Dies Two Weeks After Crash Near Schaumburg

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. (STMW) -- A Hanover Park woman died Tuesday, nearly two weeks after she was involved in a traffic crash near northwest suburban Schaumburg.

Anette Alston, 49, was hurt in the Oct. 24 traffic crash on the Elgin-O'Hare Expressway near Irving Park Road, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

Alston, of the 1700 block of Goddard Lane in Hanover Park, was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge where she died at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, the medical examiner's office said.

Illinois State Police could not immediately be reached for details on the crash.

An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday, the medical examiner's office said.
