Suspect Tries To Abduct Woman In Brighton Park: Police

(CBS) -- Police in the southwest side Brighton Park neighborhood are looking for a man who tried to abduct a woman Wednesday night.

The 23-year-old victim was walking alone on the 2500 block of West 42nd Street when the attacker stopped his pickup truck and tried to drag her into it.  When she broke free, he jumped back into the truck and sped off, she told police.

Area Central detectives say the attacker is Hispanic with a dark complexion; in his mid-40s; and has a thick, dark mustache.

At the time of the attack, he wore a black skull cap, a dark mechanic-style coat, dirty light blue jeans, and beige work boots with spots of white paint on them.

Police are urging anyone who sees the man to call 911.
