Expert Picks: Majority Going With Lions In Season Sweep Of Bears

(CBS) Every week during the Bears season, our experts from 670 The Score, CBS2 and WBBM Newsradio 780 & 105.9 FM provide their weekly picks for the Bears game:

Brian Hanley Terry Boers Matt Spiegel
Lions 30, Bears 23 Lions 31, Bears 30 Bears 27, Lions 24
The Lions aren't one-dimensional, like the Packers were last week without Aaron Rodgers. And that one dimension still did damage to the Bears' poor run defense. I need the wisdom of Dick Cavett this week because I'm bad. What did he say? Lions 31, Bears 30. A straight up thriller, with Robbie Gold's family getting fed in OT. Cutler plays well enough to win, but inconsistent enough that your radio actually vibrates with passion for the week following.

This is going to seem weird but I was taking the Bears in a close one with McCown. Now I'm not. No question Cutler's the better player - when healthy - and should be the starter, but something is off, maybe even wrong here. I just feel there's more going on here than we know. Matthew Stafford always plays poorly in Chicago (has never won at Soldier Field) but he's never faced this defense in Chicago. It's pretty simple: He's not Seneca Wallace. The Bears draw inspiration from a Mike Ditka pregame speech and grab a tight hold on the division and a playoff spot behind a three touchdown game from Matt Forte.

The Bears' defense still stinks. Unless Shea McClellin knocks out Matt Stafford or Calvin Johnson on the first drive, the Bears are going back into the loss column. The Lions don't light up the scoreboard quite the same away from home. The Bears dominate time of possession behind Cutler and Forte but the defense allows one too many big plays. I'm a little itchy about Cutler coming back so soon, but if the docs say he's ready, I guess he's ready. Cutty will right the wrongs of the loss in Detroit.
Record: 6-2 Record: 0-0 Record: 4-4

Ryan Baker Dan Durkin Josh Liss
Bears 30, Lions 27 Bears 31, Lions 30 Lions 37, Bears 24
Julius Peppers and Shea McClellin finally made some big plays in the unexpected win over the Packers but the entire defense must step up against Detroit. And it will. The Bears will capitalize on a Detroit secondary that's given up eight passing touchdowns in their last three games and avoid being swept by the Lions for the first time since 2007. Too many holes in the Bears' defense. Unless Stafford gets KO'd on the Lions' first drive, of course.
