Five Injured When Wrong Way Driver Strikes Taxi, Ambulance
CHICAGO (STMW) -- Five people were injured early Sunday when a vehicle traveling the wrong way struck a taxi and an ambulance in the Streeterville neighborhood.
The vehicle was traveling the wrong way on Illinois Street and struck a taxi and a Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago ambulance at Columbus Drive about 4:30 a.m., police News Affairs Officer Janel Sedevic said.
Five people were taken with non-life threatening injuries to area hospitals, Sedevic said.
It is not immediately known if there were any children injured in the crash.
