(CBS) -- The CTA is closing in on the last person seen with the alligator that was discovered at O'Hare Airport earlier this month.

In images released by the CTA, a woman in a black coat on a Blue Line train is seen holding the alligator. The woman boarded the train at the Pulaski Station at approximately 1:17 a.m. on Friday, November 1. The woman was seen on security video exiting with the alligator at the O'Hare Blue Line terminal at 2:17 a.m. The woman was then seen again at the O'Hare rail terminal at 2:44 a.m., this time without the alligator.

The alligator was captured without incident at O'Hare and turned over to animal control.

The person responsible for the act could face a misdemeanor charge of cruel treatment of an animal or a fine of $300 to $1,000 for cruelty to animals for abandoning an animal in a public place.
