Cartwright To Lead New Basketball School In Chicago

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A former Chicago Bull is one of the key players as plans are developed for a unique kind of boarding school in the city.

WBBM Newsradio's Bernie Tafoya reports the Chicago Basketball Academy would be a private co-ed boarding school aimed at preparing high school students for front office jobs in basketball.

Former Bulls player and coach Bill Cartwright is pictured on the school's website as its president.

Cartwright said he's not going to say much about the school right now, until more decisions are made about it. The school has yet to pick a location in Chicago.

He said a meeting has been planned for Thursday.

The school's website says the school would have traditional classes; as well as science, technology, and business classes related to sports.
