Man Shot By Masked Gunman In Austin
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was shot multiple times by a masked gunman in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side Saturday night.
The 29-year-old man was standing on the sidewalk in the 5200 block of West Congress Parkway about 9:51 p.m. when a masked gunman walked up and fired shots, police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said.
The man was shot in both thighs and his elbow, Alfaro said. He was taken in "stable" condition to Mount Sinai Hospital.
No one was in custody as Area North detectives investigated.
