Three Shot In South Side Drive-By

CHICAGO (STMW) -- Three people were wounded in a drive-by shooting early Sunday in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood on the South Side.

The three individuals were walking on the sidewalk in the 7600 block of South Ingleside Avenue when someone inside a dark-colored sedan driving by opened fire about 1:15 a.m., police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said.

A 16-year-old girl was shot in the right ankle and taken to University of Chicago Medical Center, Alfaro said.

A 21-year-old man and a 19-year-old man were also both shot in the right ankel and taken to Jackson Park Hospital and Medical Center.

All three were listed in "stable" condition.

No one was in custody as Area South detectives investigated.
