College Basketball Player Scores 109 Points

(CBS) Grinnell's Jack Taylor is at it again.

One year after setting the NCAA record by scoring 138 points in a game, Taylor scored 109 points  in a 173-123 victory over Crossroads.

His 109 points are good for third in NCAA history.

Taylor, who only played 29 minutes, scored 53 points in the first 10 minutes of the second half. He was 35-of-70 from the field, including a 24-of-48 on 3-pointers. He also hit 15-of-17 free throws.

"Just like last year (the 138-point game), I couldn't have done this without my teammates," said Taylor. "I give so much credit to them - this truly was a team effort. I'm thankful for the program the people I have playing around me."
