Man Charged In September Stabbing Death
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was charged with murder late Monday for allegedly stabbing a 24-year-old woman to death in the Douglas neighborhood on the South Side in September.
Chandus Ousley, 29, faces one felony count of first-degree murder, according to police.
On Sept. 23, April Dixon was found dead with multiple stab wounds about 7:15 p.m. inside her apartment in the 3500 block of South Rhodes Avenue, police said.
Dixon's family became concerned when she didn't show up for a family function and contacted maintenance workers at the building, police said. They went into the apartment with a master key and discovered her body.
Ousley, who lives on the same block but did not live with Dixon, is due in bond court Tuesday, police said.
