Police Officer Among Two Injured In Kennedy Crash
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A Chicago Police officer suffered minor injuries in a crash on the Kennedy Expressway early Sunday on the North Side.
The crash involving the unmarked Chicago Police squad car and the other vehicle happened about 4:20 a.m. in the southbound lanes of the Kennedy Expressway at Damen Avenue, according to Illinois State Police.
The officer was taken to a local hospital with "minor injuries," police said.
The driver of the other vehicle was arrested for DUI after the crash and charges are pending against him Sunday morning, police said. A passenger in his vehicle was hospitalized for minor injuries.
Illinois State Police are investigating the crash.
