CTA's Holiday Train Begins Rolling Friday

(STMW) -- The CTA's highly anticipated holiday train featuring Santa and his reindeer will begin its annual run Friday with its first stop on the Green Line.

The holiday train, which features Santa on a sleigh in an open flat car pulled by a six-car CTA train, will run Friday on the Green Line and travel along all CTA train lines through the end of November into December, according to a release from the transit agency.

Travelers can ride in the passenger rail cars, which will be decorated with multi-colored lights, bows, garlands and will play holiday music, the release said.

Customers can track the holiday train using CTA Train Tracker, which will include a candy cane next to its estimated arrival time information.
