(CBS) — A homeowner in the southwest suburbs was disappointed when he went to put up his Christmas decorations last weekend.
On Saturday, the homeowner on Stunkel Road in Frankfort went to his shed to find all of his Christmas decorations gone.
Kathy Hoffmeyer with the Will County Sheriff’s police says it was a large collection: “Lights, extension cords, a plastic nativity scene with approximately 15 pieces, 45 plastic nutcracker figures, 10 plastic penguins, 10 plastic snowmen.”
In all, the victim estimates the collection was worth around $15,000. He believes he inadvertently left the shed unlocked before the items were stolen, Hoffmeyer says.
