Pizza Delivery Man Robbed, Pistol-Whipped In Aurora

AURORA (STMW) -- A pizza delivery man was robbed at gunpoint early Tuesday morning in Aurora, the Beacon-News is reporting.

The 27-year-old delivery driver said he was bringing an extra-large pepperoni pizza to a home in the 400 block of Titsworth Court at around 12:20 a.m. when he was robbed by two men, Aurora police said.

According to police, when the driver arrived at the home, he approached a man standing on the front porch and handed him the bill. As he did this, the driver said an armed man walked up from behind. The man demanded money, police said.

The driver handed over an undisclosed amount of cash, and then was hit in the head with the suspect's gun. Police said both men ran toward the 300 block of South Broadway.

Police said the driver refused medical treatment.
