Bitter Cold Weather Hits Chicago

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Unseasonably cold weather will stick around Chicago for the next week, with a chance of snow accumulation this weekend.

Temperatures plunged into single digits Saturday morning, including a wind-chill of minus 4 degrees at O'Hare.

The highs for the weekend will only reach the mid 20s. Overnight, wind chills could be below zero.
Temperatures over the next week will remain well below freezing on most days.

Snow will move into the area on Sunday night, with 2-3 inches possible north of Interstate 88.

There is also a chance of lake effect snow in Lake and Cook counties on Saturday night.

The average high temperature for this time of year is the upper 30s.
