CHICAGO (CBS) — One of the Salvation Army’s many programs provides Head Start services to pre-schoolers.

The program at the Red Shield Center in the Englewood neighborhood is among several that serve hundreds of children, from infants to pre-kindergarteners, in the Chicago area.

The programs get the children ready for school and help families become independent and be their own advocate.
