AURORA, Ill. (CBS) -- Aurora police are looking for the public's help in finding the men who held a teen at gunpoint during a home invasion this morning. WBBM's Nancy Harty reports.

Aurora Police Searching For Three Suspects In Home Invasion

The 13-year-old victim had just walked his younger brother to school and was returning to his home on Eagle Drive on the west side of Aurora when police say he was forced inside.

"As he got to the front door these three individuals came up behind him, grabbed onto him and forced him inside the front door," said Aurora Police Sgt. Timothy Ciochon.

Sgt. Ciochon says the offenders were three masked men, one of whom had a hand gun. Police say the boy told them the men ransacked the home for about ten minutes and took several pieces of jewelry before leaving in what appeared to be a gray Mazda SUV.

Ciochon says the boy is ok and this may have been a case of mistaken identity. Anyone with information is asked to call Aurora Police at (630) 256-5500 or Aurora Area Crime Stoppers at (630) 892-1000.
