CHICAGO (STMW) — A man was arrested after stabbing a woman multiple times in the North Side Rogers Park neighborhood.
The 21-year-old woman was arguing with a man around 6:10 a.m. in the 1600 block of West Touhy Avenue when he allegedly began stabbing her, police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said.
When police responded to the scene, they found the 23-year-old man standing over the woman with a knife in his hand, Greer said.
The woman was taken to St. Francis Hospital with stab wounds to her head and body and was in serious condition early Thursday, Greer said.
The man was first taken to St. Francis for minor cuts to his hands, Greer said. Area North detectives then took him into custody, and charges against him are pending, Greer said.
