Man Shot And Killed In West Garfield Park

CHICAGO (STMW) — A man was shot to death Thursday night in the West Garfield Park neighborhood.

Dennis Glover, 27, was walking with his girlfriend on a sidewalk in the 700 block of South Kilbourn Avenue about 8:15 p.m. when two suspects approached and shot him multiple times in the chest and head, authorities said.

The two suspects fled the scene in a dark-colored SUV, police said.

Glover was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 8:46 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.

His girlfriend was not injured in the incident, police said.

No one is in custody as Area North detectives investigate.
