Suspect In $1Million Jewelry Heist Near Pittsburgh Arrested In Chicago
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Police captured a man in Chicago suspected of a million-dollar jewelry heist near Pittsburgh.
Chicago Police say they spotted Oscar Rodriguez, 30, standing in the middle of Kedzie near 27th early Friday morning blocking traffic. Officers got his name, ran it through their computer and found there was warrant for his arrest.
He is one of three suspects in a jewelry heist in May. Police say the men took about $1 million worth of jewelry from a salesman in a parking lot.
Rodriguez waived extradition in a court appearance Wednesday ans was denied bond.
