Elderly Woman Sexually Assaulted In West Side Parking Lot

CHICAGO (STMW) — A 69-year-old woman was sexually assaulted and robbed in a West Side parking lot on her way home from work Friday night.

The woman was getting into her vehicle in a secure parking lot in the 4600 block of West 59th Street after exiting the Orange Line train when a man who said he had handgun forced her into the vehicle about 4:15 p.m., according to the alert from Area Central detectives.

The man sexually assaulted her and stole her money, cell phone and ATM card, police said.

After the assault, he drove her to various locations and made withdrawals from her bank account, before abandoning her and the vehicle on the West Side, police said.

The suspect is described as a 20-year-old black man between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-9 and 140-150 pounds.
