Earl Bennett Inactive For Bears; Randall Cobb In For Packers

By Adam Hoge-

SOLDIER FIELD (CBS) — The Bears will be without wide receiver Earl Bennett Sunday after the wide receiver missed the entire week of practice while he attended to a family matter back in Texas.

With Bennett out, veteran special teamer Eric Weems and rookie Marquess Wilson will fill in as the No. 3 wide receiver.

"They've got to know where to line up, and they've got to know what to do, and we assume that they are capable of doing that," Bears head coach Marc Trestman said Friday. "We'd be excited for both of them to play. They've done very, very well at practice. We can count on them and we think they'll do well and fit in."

The Packers, meanwhile, will have the services of wide receiver Randall Cobb who is active after missing 10 games with a broken leg.

Green Bay won't have linebacker Clay Matthews who was ruled out earlier in the week after undergoing thumb surgery. The Packers also won't have linebacker Brad Jones, who was listed on the injury report as probable with a thumb injury.

Here are the inactives for both teams:

Chicago Bears

OT Jonathan Scott
DE Cornelius Washington
WR Chris Williams

Green Bay Packers

CB Jumal Rolle
