Man Shot Multiple Times After Roseland Robbery

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was shot multiple times after being robbed of his coat Sunday afternoon in the Roseland neighborhood on the South Side.

The 30-year-old man was standing outside in the 0-100 block of East 101st Place shortly before 4 p.m. when an armed male approached him and demanded his coat, police said.

The man handed over his coat, at which point the gunman shot him in the leg, groin and arm before fleeing in a light-colored SUV, police said.

He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was listed in "stable" condition, police said.

Area South detectives are investigating.
