Report: Lovie Smith Considered Favorite For Buccaneers Job
(CBS) Former Bears head coach Lovie Smith may soon return to the NFL.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Smith is considered the favorite to be named head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the wake of Greg Schiano's firing.
The 55-year-old Smith was the linebackers coach for the Bucs from 1996-2000.
Smith was fired from the Bears following the 2012 season after the Bears went 10-6, failing to reach the playoffs.
