DuPage Chairman Cronin Plans To Push Consolidation Plan In 2014
(CBS) — DuPage County Chairman Dan Cronin tells the Daily Herald his top priority is to move the DuPage ACT, accountability, consolidation and transparency forward.
It is an effort to get government agencies to restructure and reform. New state law will let the county eliminate as many as 13 entities, including fire protection, sanitary and mosquito abatement districts.
Cronin says some will be dissolved, others just revamped to save taxpayer money. He says it is all about consolidation in 2014.
