Suspect In 2011 Murder Caught In Ohio

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man who was wanted by police in connection with a fatal shooting from July 2011 has been captured in Ohio.

Louis Tabor, 23, was charged with first-degree murder for the shooting death of 26-year-old Marquis Strong on July 22, 2011, according to Chicago Police.

Tabor was arrested while in custody of Ohio authorities on unrelated charges, police said.

Strong, of the 7100 block of South Yates Avenue, was found shot in the chest about 11:30 p.m. in the 500 block of East 65th Street, authorities said at the time.

He was pronounced dead at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County at 12:15 a.m., according to the medical examiner's office.

Tabor, of the 6300 block of South Rhodes Avenue, is expected to appear in bond court Thursday.
