Chicago Auto Show Revs Its Engine Beginning This Weekend

Driver-less Cars Are Coming

(CBS) -- With all the cold and snow and the slipping and the sliding, there's nothing like coming to the Chicago Auto Show to take your mind off winter.

CBS 2's Ed Curran offers a preview of what's hot this year.

The all-new Ford F-150 is one of the most talked-about 2015 models. It's a truck that's more dent-resistant and sheds about 700 pounds, thanks to aluminum.

Fuel efficiency is a major factor when it comes to car sales. The Subaru Legacy unveiled in Chicago gets 36 mpg on the highway, with a six-cylinder engine and All Wheel Drive.

The Kia Soul highlighted here is electric. It will roll out later in the year on the West Coast.

If you need a sportier ride, the Corvette Z06 will slap you back in your seat with 625 horsepower.

Ford's 50th anniversary pony car, the 2015 Mustang, looks better in person than in any photos. It sits next to the first Mustang sold in the U.S., owned by Gail and Tom Wise of Park Ridge.

The auto show runs Saturday through Feb. 17.
