Former Bears 1st-Round Draft Pick Carimi Released By Bucs
(CBS) Former Bears first-round draft pick and offensive lineman Gabe Carimi has been released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to multiple reports.
Carimi had been trying to lock up a roster spot under the watch of new Bucs coach Lovie Smith, who he played for in Chicago after being drafted 29th overall in 2011. Alas, that won't happen, and the 25-year-old Carimi will have to look for a new destination after playing in 14 games and starting three last season.
