Man Shot And Killed In Austin
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was found dead with a gunshot to the head in the West Side Austin neighborhood Thursday night.
Officers responding to a call of shots fired about 9 p.m. found the man, thought to be in his 30's, dead in an alley in the 300 block of North Parkside Avenue, police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said.
The Cook County Medical Examiner's office pronounced the man dead at 12:55 a.m., but his identity was still unknown Friday morning.
Area North detectives are conducting a homicide investigation.
