(CBS) The Houston Texans hold the top pick in May’s NFL Draft, and Johnny Manziel has some advice for them.
Pick him. Because if you don’t, it will come back to haunt you.
“It would be the worst decision they’ve ever made,” Manziel said with a smile when asked what he’d think if the Texans passed on him, according to the Houston Chronicle. “I’d be in the same division playing against them twice a year. Sorry, but you just turned that chip on my shoulder from a Frito into a Dorito.”
The Texans need a quarterback, and Texas native Manziel is the best prospect on the boards of some pundits. If Houston doesn’t take him No. 1 overall, there’s a solid chance the Jacksonville could take him at No. 3, which would put him in the AFC South against the Texans.
Still, Manziel is no guarantee to go No. 1. Teddy Bridgewater and Blake Bortles are also impressive quarterback prospects that the Texans are evaluating.
