(CBS) Raptors reserve forward Tyler Hansbrough made no friends in Chicago during his four-year tenure with the Pacers, and he’s lost none of his edge since heading north of the border to Toronto.
Many around the NBA consider the scrappy, undersized Hansbrough an instigator. Even those who don’t would agree he has a knack for ending up in the middle of drama.
In Chicago’s 94-92 win at Toronto on Wednesday night, Hansbrough was at it again. He and Bulls forward Mike Dunleavy got tangled up in an awkward sequence in the third quarter in which Hansbrough tackled his counterpart, and they received double technicals for their actions.
While the Bulls and Raptors won’t face each other in the regular season, in the bunched-up East, it’s possible they could meet in the opening round of the playoffs in the 3-6 or 4-5 matchup. Who knows if Chicagoans could handle a full series of Hansbrough.
“You’re not tough,” Bulls color man Stacey King said of Hansbrough at one point in last night’s broadcast on CSN Chicago.
