At about 10:45 a.m. Friday, Harry Manx was waiting for his bags at a luggage carousel in Terminal Two at O'Hare. He saw the case carrying his rare Indian Mohan Veena guitar on the carousel, but briefly turned away before retrieving it. By the time he returned to get the case, it was gone.

Surveillance video recorded the thief taking the guitar case, then walking to the exit for the CTA Blue Line.

Suspecting the thief would return, plain clothes police officers monitored the baggage claim area for the next few days, before spotting him stealing three bags from a luggage carousel at Terminal Two on Monday afternoon.

Police arrested Hargrove and retrieved Manx's guitar.

Manx, who currently is in Quebec for a concert, will return to Chicago on Tuesday to retrieve it.

"I was having lunch today here when I got the call from the detective in Chicago who told me - I already knew the suspect was in custody - but he told me the suspect gave up the location of the instrument today and the police went there and recovered it," he said. "Now they're holding it at a police station for me."

Hargrove was due in bond court Wednesday afternoon.
