Chicago State Beats Seattle 84-77 In 3OT

SEATTLE (AP) — Clarke Rosenberg scored six of his 17 points in triple overtime Thursday night to help lift Chicago State over Seattle University 84-77.

Matt Ross also scored 17, Rahjan Muhammad 15, Nate Duhon 13, and Quinton Pippen 12, but Rosenberg's four free throws and jumper in third overtime were key for the Cougars (12-16, 7-6 Western Athletic Conference).

Johnny Griffin scored a layup and a dunk and Muhammad and Ross each made free throws as Chicago State outscored Seattle 14-7 in the third overtime.

Chicago State led 27-21 at halftime, but a 3 by Seattle's Isiah Umipig tied it at 55 at the end of regulation. Duhon tied it at 64 with a layup in overtime, and Umipig tied it at 70 in second overtime by hitting two free throws.

Umipig finished with 23 for Seattle (12-14, 4-9), Jarell Flora had 15, Shore Adenekan 13, and Clarence Trent grabbed 12 rebounds.
