Man Critically Wounded In Calumet Heights Shooting

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was shot in the neck in the South Side Calumet Heights neighborhood Monday night.

Police responded to a call about a person shot in the 9200 block of South Stony Island Avenue about 11 p.m., police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said.

The victim, a 33-year-old man, was found on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound to the neck. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn and is listed in critical condition.

No one is in custody as Area South detectives investigate.
