Mac & Spiegs Agenda: Bulls Amaze, Hawks Hold On, Free Agency Begins

By Matt Spiegel-

(CBS) Here’s a look at what’s on tap for the McNeil and Spiegel Show today:

— Those Bulls, man. They are so much better than they have a right to be. Coaching, effort and the incredible play of Joakim Noah gave them a win over the best team int he NBA. No one’s saying they’ll win a championship, but their entertainment provided is appreciated.

Steve Aschburner from will join us to discuss it all at 11 a.m. and paint a picture of that rivalry game yesterday.

— The Blackhawks survived a Buffalo Sabres team that has been playing pretty well at home and won after a Captain Serious goal broke a tie early in the 3rd.

Jay Zawaski thought it was as boring a game as the Hawks have played. Mac loved it. They’ll argue about that.

— NFL free agent frenzy: ACTIVATE.  How much should Bears fans really want Michael Bennett?

Our Hub Arkush sets the scene at 10 a.m., and the insane Dave “Softy” Mahler gives us the Seattle take on bennett at 10:40 a.m..

— And, yes, True Detective. We’re going to talk about the finale at noon.  f you haven’t seen it yet, fair warning. The show that has consumed so many of us is gone, physically, if still rolling around our heads.

See you on the air.
