Woman Shot While Driving In Uptown
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A woman was shot while driving in the Uptown neighborhood early Thursday on the North Side.
The 24-year-old was shot about 3:25 a.m. while she was traveling west in the 1200 block of Lawrence Avenue with two male passengers, police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said.
A male suspect fired at the vehicle from the sidewalk, striking the woman in the right bicep, Alfaro added.
One of the woman's friends then got in the driver's seat and drove her to Louis A. Weiss Memorial Hospital, where she is listed in good condition, Alfaro said.
No suspects are in custody as Area North detectives investigate.
