Police: 1 Killed, 1 Seriously Wounded In Rogers Park Shoooting

(STMW) -- A man was killed and another was seriously wounded in a shooting in the Rogers Park neighborhood Monday night, police said.

About 7:20 p.m., a 24-year-old man and a 33-year-old man were both shot in the 1600 block of West Howard Street, police said.

The 24-year-old was taken to Presence Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, where he later died, police said. The 33-year-old was also taken to Saint Francis with gunshot wounds to his hip and abdomen. He was listed in serious condition, police said.

No one was in custody as Area North detectives investigated.
