Cops: Man Approaches Teen Boy For Sex On NW Side

CHICAGO (STMW) -- Police are searching for a man who approached a 14-year-old boy and asked him to engage in a sexual act Monday night in the Northwest Side Belmont Cragin neighborhood.

The teen was walking in the 4900 block of West Fullerton Avenue at 9:15 p.m. when a Spanish-speaking man approached and asked him for oral sex, according to a community alert from Area North detectives.

The teen ran across the street and lost sight of the man.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man between 40 and 50, 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-8 with a heavy build, short black or brown hair, and unshaven face. He was wearing a dark gray, waist-length jacket and blue jeans.

Police said the suspect "appeared unkempt."
