Blackhawks Reassign Teravainen To AHL Rockford

(CBS) The Blackhawks have reassigned 19-year-old forward Teuvo Teravainen to the Rockford IceHogs of the AHL, the team announced Thursday afternoon.

Teravainen came to Chicago with much fanfare late in the season after his season with Jokerit in the SM-liiga of Finland concluded. He failed to record a point in three games with the Blackhawks, and he doesn't figure into the postseason picture for Chicago, so the move is logical. The other option was to keep him up and let him be a practice player for the Blackhawks.
