(STMW) — A 3-year-old boy was injured when he fell out of a second-story window Thursday afternoon in the Portage Park neighborhood on the Northwest Side.
The 3-year-old fell through a screened window on the second story of a building in the 4700 block of West Addison Street about 3:45 p.m., Fire Media Affairs spokesman Juan Hernandez said.
The boy was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, where he is in “stable” condition, Hernandez said. His specific injuries were not immediately known.
The incident appeared to be an accident, police said late Thursday.
Area North detectives are investigating.
